A quiet, idyllic holiday region:

Val d’Ega, especially Lago di Carezza and the impressive Latemar and Catinaccio mountains, is one of South Tyrol’s oldest tourist destinations. Even Empress Elisabeth of Austro-Hungary, better known as Sissi, came to Lago di Carezza to benefit from the mountain air. Today, the Elisabeth memorial commemorates her presence in the area.

Other notable figures, such as Karl May and Agatha Christie, came to Val d’Ega to relax and marvel at the picturesque landscape. As time has passed, Nova Levante and the entire Val d’Ega have become the quiet and idyllic holiday spots we know today.

Particularly in the summer, the latter sets itself above the rest with its numerous hiking paths, mountain tours, climbing tours and a colourful range of leisure opportunities. In the winter, the Carezza Dolomites and Obereggen ski resorts, with their breathtaking slopes, pristinely prepared pistes and magnificent views of the surrounding mountains never fail to impress.

Nova Levante

A farming village in the middle of the Alps? Yes, that’s what Nova Levante is. Yet, since it was first documented in 1142, the former mountain miner’s village has developed into the idyllic, romantic holiday destination we are today. As one of the first villages in South Tyrol to be opened up to tourists, Nova Levante and nearby Lago di Carezza have without doubt made a name for themselves! The former was one of the first villages with a ski resort and cable cars in the entire region and, even today, our village is one of the best-loved tourist destinations in the Dolomites.

You can find a great deal of opportunities to shape your holiday exactly the way you want to. The Catinaccio and Latemar mountains that surround us are perfect for hiking, mountaineering and climbing. The pristinely prepared pistes at the Carezza Dolomites and Obereggen ski resorts and the breathtaking views are just what you need for the best winter holiday possible.
